UMARIX AI PHOTO EDITOR

๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ AI Background Changer

Isolate the subject with the browser AI engine, then place it on a new background: your own uploaded image, a solid colour, a gradient, or a blurred version of the original photo. Generated backgrounds are not included in this browser version โ€” no background is invented by AI here.

Runs entirely in your browser. No upload, no account, no image stored anywhere. Unlimited uses, within the per-file limits below.

๐Ÿ“ Drop an image here, or choose a file

JPEG, PNG, WebP only. Max 20.00 MB per file, 100 megapixels. One file at a time. Files are processed in your browser only โ€” nothing is uploaded.

Choose image

How to use it

  1. Upload an image (JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 20 MB and 100 megapixels) or try the clearly marked sample image.
  2. Choose the new background type. If you choose your own image, upload it as well โ€” it will be cropped to fill the frame without stretching.
  3. Press Change background, then press Start in the plain-English box that explains the one-time AI engine download.
  4. Compare the result with the original, then download it. Use Start over for a new image.

Supported formats and limitations

  • Generated backgrounds are not included: this tool does not invent a new scene, beach, office or landscape. It only uses backgrounds you supply or simple colour, gradient and blur backgrounds.
  • The cut-out depends on the same segmentation as the Background Remover: hair, fur, glass and fine edges may be imperfect, and small speckles can remain in plain backgrounds with the small model.
  • Animation is not preserved: only the first frame of an animated WebP is processed.
  • The output is a PNG with the new background baked in; it is not a transparent file. Use the Background Remover if you need transparency.
  • Limits: 20 MB per file, 100 megapixels. Unlimited uses, one file at a time, within those per-file limits.

Frequently asked questions

Can this generate a new background, like a beach?

No. This browser version does not generate backgrounds. Use your own image, a solid colour, a gradient, or a blurred version of the original.

Why does it need a download?

It first isolates the subject with the same AI engine as the Background Remover. That engine downloads once (about 40 MB), is saved in your browser, and is reused afterwards.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. All processing runs in your browser. No image leaves your device.

What is the size limit?

20 MB per file and 100 megapixels. There is no limit on the number of images you may process, one at a time, within those per-file limits.
